Lane walked into the cafeteria at Chardon High School, about thirty miles outside Cleveland. Just after seven-thirty on the morning of February 27th, a seventeen-year-old boy named T. Doing Science is how you find cheap pellets that shoot good or good enuf!Ī smooth bore like a 310 will not shoot pellets that great so I look at those guns as Donors to put a 312 back in service.Every American can be his own policeman the country has nearly as many guns as it has people. I know I'm preaching to the choir but try all the pellets you can get your mits on. Even in stock form multi pump barrels are dependent on heavy pellets to deliver what they have on Tap. 177 you will make a boatload of FPE while not slowing your FPS near what you would imagine. They do make a serious amount of energy tho if you feed them some mass. Energy performance is so dependent on projectile weight it is silly and the guns will never make any speed to challenge the springers.

177 but trying to push a bread box of air thru the tiny hole while the pellet sticks around is a challenge. I think you wind up with more flow resistance than pellet resistance in. It is hard to dump all that air thru such a punny hole. It is fairly rare to see one dump more than 8 completely.22's are a lot easier to get to a 10 Pump dump than the more restrictive caliber. You need to test each gun with each pellet you want to use to see what residual air it has remaining. a 310 shooting a 5 grain BB at 720 might translate to a 625. With Modern exhaust valves fitted they will not dump as many as they did originally unless you start tweaking things around. I didn't do a google search but that can be fruitful.

The guys on the Vintage Airgun Forum would probably be your best bet of finding an owners manual. So Dans could often dump 12 but I never heard of a factory suiggestiong it. As far as how much they can be pushed it was always less than the Dans because they had a better exhaust valve in general.

I'm really not one to read owners manuals but the early 312 one was a sheet of paper folded up.
